Barbados 2017

Pipefest 2017

Pipefest 2017 was part of the Barbados Celtic Festival that was organized as a means to celebrate and build international cultural links in Barbados. The EPS Pipes and Drums were part of a street parade led by the Royal Barbados Police Band and the Barbados Defence Force Band. The parade featured approximately 100 musicians including pipers, drummers from Barbados, Scotland, Canada, Australia and Switzerland and forming a key event of the Barbados Celtic Festival.

Massed pipe bands provided music at Blakeys on the Broadwalk, Coconut Court Beach Hotel, and Pureocean Restaurant. The bands took players and supporters to the opening of the Barbados Car Rally where they played the Scottish teams into the park.
